How much Growth-Focused Fractional CMO Services cost?

A fractional executive like a CMO or CBDO is categorized by level of experience and expertise, the number of hours they plan to work on your project, and project scope.


Usually, the average compensation rate of a fractional CMO is between $200 and $350 per hour which roughly comes out to $7,000 a month or $84,000 annually. I pride myself on working with small innovative businesses, each contract is different and customized to the business's needs, and a retainer is set.


I do not work on an hourly basis, because I want the business to get the maximum amount of effort for the most budget-friendly price. My retainers start at $3000 per month.


How long do Fractional Expert usually work for a company?

The length of engagement depends on what you need to be accomplished and how quickly your business can scale to being able to afford a full-time CMO or CBDO.


Most of my contracts are 3 months to start and month to month after that, this ensures that I am consistently preparing your business and team for a full-time replacement, but at the same time gives us room for growth and expansion so your marketing and business development stays comprehensive.


The sweet spot for a fractional CMO is 4 to 6 months with your business getting you to a place of having a full-time executive come in, a lot of my past clients still retain me on a consulting basis but do not need me on a fractional level.
